March Newsletter
Hello all
Lots of exciting things in progress for the Ravensthorpe-Hopetoun region and the RRCC.
The RRCC focus has been very much on new memberships, supporting new business and existing businesses and the community as a whole.
Membership of the RRCC has increased significantly, we have a few possible new businesses still doing their research and will be lobbying in several areas for existing businesses. We now have a few channels that have opened up for the opportunity to have a voice for business and this region through the RCCIWA, the 2020 Summit and through the SBC. We will use every avenue to be a voice and get the support needed for business and the community.
NEW MEMBERSHIPS
The RRCC welcomes Mary Richardson from Plants with a Purpose and Springdale Courtyard Cafe. Mary has a fabulous cafe on her property out off Springdale Rd with fantastic views, ambience and delightful meals. She also sells gourmet products of her very own.
NEW EXECUTIVE MEMBERS
Congratulations and welcome to two new executive members of the RRCC, Dave Borger from the Hopetoun Caravan Park and Ravensthorpe Motel and Angela Jess from Landmark Realty.
WOMEN IN BUSINESS NETWORKING FORUM
The WIB Forum held on the 1st April was very well attended. The numbers are increasing all the time. We had Shayne Flanagan from Goldfields Esperance Development Commission (GEDC), Sheryl Liddicoat from Goldfields Esperance Area Consultative Committee (GEACC), Noel Reilly from YMCA and Jill Hutchison as guest speakers. We were given updates on the childcare centre, information on resources available, marketing and opportunities and possibilities for the WIB Forums and its members.
The RRCC has been asked by Gemma Walker from Southern Eastern Wheat Growers Association (SEPWA) to be a partner in the SEPWA 2 day Conference for women in August. This is great opportunity for the women in business of this region for networking and resources. There will be a few awesome women speakers on the night and I will leave that as a surprise.
WORKSHOPS
The RRCC has also been asked to conduct a workshop on business plans and budgeting. If anyone is interested in either workshop please call me to register your interest.
RCCIWA (Regional Chamber of Commerce Industry WA)
The meeting at Parliament House to speak to the Politicians has now been changed to the 15th May.
